Voter registration cards mailed in new precincts
If you vote in the Colonial Hills precinct or the new Hernando Hills Elementary School school precinct, DeSoto County Government wants you to be watching your mail for new voter registration cards.
Those cards are being mailed for Precinct 505 (Hernando East) and the newly formed Precinct 510 (Hernando Hills Elementary).
Once the new cards are received, voters are asked to destroy the old ones.
The DeSoto County Election Commission recently notified the Board of Supervisors that Longview Point Baptist Church will no longer be available for voting. The Longview Point precinct was the largest in the county with approximately 5,400 active voters.
It is now being split into two precincts.
Precinct Addresses:
- Precinct 505 Colonial Hills Hernando: 1225 Monteith Ave, Hernando
- Precinct 510 Hernando Hills Elementary: 570 McIngvale Rd, Hernando
Voters who have not received a new registration card should call the Circuit Clerk’s office by phone at 662-469-8365, or go to the Circuit Clerk’s office in the DeSoto County Courthouse at 2535 U.S. Highway 51 South, Room 200 in Hernando.
Voters can verify that your voter registration is up to date through the Voter Registration Inquiry on the official county website.
No other precinct changes are being made in the county voting precincts at this time.
