Memphis Americans host Columbus Rapids Saturday

The Memphis Americans men’s and women’s teams will face the Columbus Rapids for the sixth time this season when they meet on Saturday. Kickoff for the first match is at 12 noon CST at Landers Center in Southaven.

Both Memphis Americans teams most recently faced the Fayetteville Fury at home on Monday, Feb. 21. The men fell 3-2, moving their season record to 8-4, and the women, who are currently 10-2 on the season, won by a 2-1 score.

The Columbus Rapids men’s team is led by coach Eddie Miranda, while the women’s team has coach Miguel Galindo at the helm. The men, who are looking to break their two-game losing streak, have a record of 3-8, while the women are 4-7 on the season.

Individual match tickets for other games occurring during the Memphis Americans inaugural season are available for purchase at www.memphisamericans.com. Each ticket grants entry to both the men’s and women’s matches. Season tickets start at $180 and are currently available on the team’s website, as well. Season ticket holders have access to all men’s and women’s matches, enjoy postseason and off-season priority access, can attend a meet and greet with the team, and receive a special inaugural season scarf.
