One hurt, one in custody after Olive Branch shooting

Olive Branch police have a person in custody after a shooting incident Friday morning, June 23 at a local warehouse that wounded another person.

Officers were called to the Ryder Warehouse parking lot on Progress Way about 9 a.m., responding to a report of shots being fired.  

A suspect was determined when officers arrived on the scene and the male suspect was placed in custody. One person was hurt in the incident and was able to drive to a hospital for treatment. 

Information from the police department said no officers were involved in the shooting incident, which remains under investigation.  

A company statement said the two people involved were with a staffing agency at the warehouse and not Ryder employees.
