SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Six people are in custody and another suspect is being sought following a shots fired incident in Southaven.
According to the Southaven Police Department, officers responded Wednesday, May 27, to the 5000 block of Gibbons Cove after reports of gunfire in the area.
Investigators said multiple vehicles were struck by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.
Police said six individuals have been taken into custody as part of the investigation. Their names have not yet been released. Authorities said the possible charges in the case include drive-by shooting, aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm.
Investigators are also searching for Johnny Richardson, described as an 18-year-old Black male, who remained at large as of the latest update.
The case remains under investigation, and police said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
