Olive Branch police attend DeSoto County fallen hero memorial
The Olive Branch Police Department said in a social media post that it attended the 2026 DeSoto County Public Safety Fallen Hero Memorial and paid its respects to families of public safety personnel who died in the line of duty.
As the twelve names were read aloud, the department said, attendees were reminded those heroes are never forgotten. Law enforcement and fire service agencies stood united to honor the courage, sacrifice and dedication of those who answered the call to serve, the post said.
The department said it continues to lift the families in prayer, asking for strength and comfort as they carry on the legacy of their loved ones. “Their sacrifice will forever remain in our hearts and in our mission,” the post said.
The post opened with the Bible verse John 15:13: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends,” the department said. It also quoted Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God,” and listed DeSoto County Government and the City of Olive Branch in its notice.
