The Olive Branch Planning Commission approved an application for a new DeSoto County Schools Career Tech East campus to be built on Craft Road, city officials said. The project includes classrooms, athletic facilities and planned trail connections near the George Harrison Soccer Complex and Lick Creek Conservancy.

Producers announced that Zack Clark will portray Lieutenant Wright in a stage production of “The Secret Garden.” Clark wrote on Instagram that he is excited and grateful for the opportunity.

Northcentral Electric Cooperative restored power Saturday, Mayor Ken Adams and the City of Olive Branch said. The city had asked drivers to avoid Pleasant Hill Road to Davidson Road while traffic lights were out.

The Junior Auxiliary of DeSoto County said its Day at the Derby event is one week away and will raise funds for children in the community. Tickets are available on the group’s event page.

Alli Rose Twilley will play the Ayah in “The Secret Garden,” the DFT theater announced, marking her return to the DFT stage after eight years. The performance is scheduled for 7 p.m.; tickets are available at dftonline.org/thesecretgarden.

DeSoto Family Theatre announced that William Scott will make his stage debut as Colin Craven tonight at 7 p.m., with tickets available online.

Northcentral Electric Cooperative restored power in the area, Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams said. Earlier, traffic lights were out from Pleasant Hill Road to Davidson Road and officers directed traffic at intersections.

The Southaven Chamber of Commerce said it will host a Star Wars–themed Par Wars: Golf & Games Tournament at Olive Branch Country Club, featuring golf, pickleball, a costume contest and networking opportunities.

The Olive Branch Police Department will offer shredding and medication disposal Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mayor Ken Adams said. DeSoto Shred will provide shredding and the city listed year-round drop-off sites.
