Olive Branch to host community shred and drug take-back day April 25

The Olive Branch Police Department will host a Community Shred and Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams said.

Shredding services will be provided by DeSoto Shred, the city said. The event will accept unwanted, unused and expired medications for safe disposal, Adams said.

The city said disposing of prescription drugs helps reduce the chance they fall into the wrong hands and lowers the risk of misuse and related tragedies.

Additional year-round prescription medication disposal locations listed by the city include Mike’s Pharmacy at 9065 Sandidge Center Cv., Ste. A, Olive Branch, Mississippi, and the Olive Branch Police Department lobby at 10470 MS-178, Olive Branch, Mississippi 38654.
