Walmart Neighborhood Market Horn Lake delivered snacks, drinks and a special appreciation card to the Horn Lake Police Department during National Police Week, the department said.
The department said the items included fruit, muffins and Gatorade. A social media post from the department said that while coffee usually keeps officers going, the donated items “hit the spot.”
The department called the gesture thoughtful and generous and said it was very much appreciated. It added that support from the community means a lot to the men and women behind the badge.
In its post, the department thanked the store for taking the time to encourage officers who serve the city each day.
