Saturday’s storm system that swept through DeSoto County provided about a half-inch of rain and some reports of tree damage. Forecasters are expecting another round of wet, possibly severe weather, to come through Sunday before a sunny pattern starts the work week on Monday.

One report on Saturday came in from Horn Lake, where a large tree had fallen on Tulane Road south of Church Road.

Another report posted on social media had some minor tree damage down in Hernando.

Rainfall totals were in the .20-.50 range.

The National Weather Service Sunday morning said the area has a risk of severe weather again later in the afternoon into the evening.
