School bus collides with truck in Olive Branch

One person was hurt but no school children suffered injuries when a DeSoto County Schools (DCS) bus and a FedEx truck collided in Olive Branch Wednesday morning. 

The collision occurred on Hacks Cross Road near Highway 78. DCS Supt. Cory Uselton provided the following information about the incident.  

“District officials were notified that a collision occurred when a vehicle pulled in front of Bus 508 on Hacks Cross Road,” Uselton said. “The bus was transporting 30 students from Career Tech East to Lewisburg High School.  No injuries were reported at the time of the crash, and the parents of the students on board were notified by school officials.”

Reports are that the driver of the truck was taken to a hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
