Results of Water Tower 10K race in Hernando

Results have been posted on the website for the Hernando Water Tower 10K race, held Saturday morning in the streets of Hernando. We featured the annual run for the Hernando Dolly Parton Imagination Library ahead of the 8 a.m. start of the run through the streets of Hernando on DeSoto County News.

The overall men’s winner of the race was Charlie Dawson of Oxford, who ran the 10 kilometers in 34:14, outdistancing Hernando’s Chandler Ray by nearly a minute at 35:13. 

Austin Winstead and Shane Baltz of Senatobia were third and fourth, respectively, and Hernando’s Adam Ridinger finished fifth.  

The top female runner was Madison Jordan of Senatobia, part of a 1-2-3 Senatobia finish, who ran the race in 47:16. Ella Oursler was second at 48:31 and Sandra Parker took third at 49:34.
