Olive Branch proclaims July 7 as Coach Leslie Pool Day

The City of Olive Branch said Mayor Ken Adams and the Board of Aldermen presented Leslie Pool with a proclamation at the board’s July 7 meeting, declaring Tuesday, July 7, 2026, as Coach Leslie Pool Day.

The city said Pool devoted his entire 25-year coaching career to the students and athletes of Olive Branch High School. The post said he is a member of the City of Olive Branch Hall of Fame and was recently inducted into the Mississippi Association of Coaches Hall of Fame.

According to the city, Pool was recognized at the meeting for his exceptional service, unwavering dedication to education and athletics, and the lasting impact he has made on the community.

The city said Pool was joined at the meeting by his wife, Janice Pool, and posted photos of the presentation on its government page.
