South Panola District to hold law enforcement training at high school
The South Panola School District said it will partner with local law enforcement to conduct a planned safety training exercise at South Panola High School on Thursday, July 9, at 8 a.m.
The district said members of the community may observe an increased presence of law enforcement officers and emergency vehicles on or near the campus during the exercise.
The district described the activity as a scheduled training exercise and said there is no threat to the school, students, staff or the surrounding community.
The district thanked local law enforcement for their partnership and thanked families and community members for their understanding as officials work to strengthen emergency preparedness efforts, the district said.
