The Rotary Club of Olive Branch honored police officers and firefighters at its “Christmas in July” event at the Olive Branch Country Club, the City of Olive Branch said in a post.
Police Chief Carlos Garcia and Fire Chief Bill Clark randomly selected employees to be recognized, the city said. Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams provided an overview of first responders and the work they do, the post said.
The city said the workers were asked what they most enjoy about their jobs and that the repeated response was appreciation for the city’s residents and the support they receive from the community.
The City of Olive Branch also offered thanks to community members who support and show appreciation for the city’s emergency medical services, the post said.
