Olive Branch police to host free summer camps June 1–26
The Olive Branch Police Department said it will host its 19th annual summer camps, Camp BUILD for grades 2 through 8 and Camp SHAPE for grades 9 through 12, June 1–26. The department said both camps are free and run Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to noon.
Camp BUILD will be held at Olive Branch Intermediate School, 8631 Pigeon Roost Road, and is aimed at second- through eighth-graders, the department said. It listed activities such as team-building, basketball, soccer, flag football and law enforcement demonstrations. Campers must be picked up between noon and 12:30 p.m., the department added.
Camp SHAPE will take place at Center Hill Middle School, 8756 Forest Hill Irene Road, and is designed for ninth- through 12th-graders, the department said. Its curriculum includes personal development, self-defense and fitness, financial literacy and career readiness. Pickup is required between noon and 12:30 p.m.
Applications are available online at https://www.obms.us/obpdsummercamps or at the Olive Branch Police Department, the department said. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, May 29, 2026, at 5 p.m. The department said all applications must be notarized or certified before submission; a notary is available at the police department Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at no charge and the child must be present for notarization.
