Mayor Ken Adams, the Olive Branch Board of Aldermen and other city officials congratulated local pitmaster Heath Riles on winning back-to-back grand champion titles at Memphis in May, the city said.
The city issued the congratulations in a statement identifying Riles as the Olive Branch pitmaster and noting the consecutive wins.
The statement said there had not been a back-to-back champion in 42 years and congratulated Riles and his team.
