Olive Branch Police thank dispatchers, animal control officers

The Olive Branch Police Department on Thursday thanked its Emergency Communications Division and animal control officers for their work, saying they serve the community “behind the scenes” with “compassion, professionalism and care,” the department said in a social media post.

The post cited dispatchers answering calls in people’s moments of need and officers responding to rescue injured animals as examples of the divisions’ duties, the department said. It extended “one more heartfelt ‘thank you’ to our dispatchers and animal control officers,” the post said.

The department used hashtags thanking dispatchers and animal control and tagged Mayor Ken Adams, the City of Olive Branch government page and the Olive Branch Animal Shelter, according to the post.

The post said the department strives to ensure team members know they are valued and respected for the work they do every day, and it thanked the employees for their commitment to the community.
