The Olive Branch Police Department said it has opened registration for its fall Citizens Police Academy, a 10-week program that runs Sept. 3 to Nov. 5, 2026. The department said spots are limited.
The department said classes will meet Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will offer demonstrations and hands-on presentations, including DUI demonstrations, K-9 operations, SWAT presentations, school resource officer briefings and criminal investigations. The announcement said snacks and door prizes will be provided at each session.
The department said applications are available online at https://www.obms.us/DocumentCenter/View/705/Citizens-Academy-Application or may be picked up at the Olive Branch Police Department at 10470 Highway 178 in Olive Branch, Miss. The announcement listed Lt. Carlos Wilson as a contact and gave the phone number 662-782-4001.
The announcement was posted by the Olive Branch Police Department and included the name of Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams, according to the department’s release.
