Olive Branch police launch Citizens Police Academy Class 34

The Olive Branch Police Department said it has launched Citizens Police Academy Class 34, welcoming a new group of community participants for an introductory session and department tour.

The department said the evening began with introductions to members of its command staff and included a tour of the police headquarters. Participants also visited the Emergency Communications Center to observe the people, technology and teamwork behind emergency response, the department said.

The department said the Citizens Police Academy, which began in 2005, offers community members an opportunity to learn about the police department, ask questions and meet the people who serve Olive Branch.

The Olive Branch Police Department said week one concluded and that participants will visit the DCSO jail for the next session.
