Olive Branch police mark dual-purpose K-9 graduation
The Olive Branch Police Department said it celebrated a dual-purpose K-9 graduation last week, honoring handlers and their dogs who completed an intensive training program the department described as requiring discipline and teamwork.
The department identified the graduates as Deputy Tradarius Cannon of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and his K-9, Koda; Officer Kevin Hoskins of the West Memphis Police Department and his K-9, Zero; and Officer Darius Thompson of the West Memphis Police Department and his K-9, Fajo.
The department thanked Officer Michael Murphy for leading and coordinating the training, saying his leadership and commitment helped prepare the teams for service.
The post, credited to Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams on the city’s government social media page, said the graduates’ work strengthens their agencies and the communities they serve and wished the teams success and safe years of service.
