The Olive Branch Police Department’s Citizens’ Police Academy visited the DeSoto County Adult Detention Center for a private tour led by Captain Clark, according to the department.
Participants learned about the facility’s daily operations, including intake procedures, transportation, housing and the demographics of the inmate population, the department said.
The department described the visit as an opportunity for CPA Class No. 34 to learn about the custodial process and the role the detention center plays in public safety in DeSoto County.
Olive Branch police thanked Captain Clark for welcoming the class and sharing their time and expertise. The department said “TAZER NIGHT” is next for the academy.
