Garden club state convention held

The 92nd annual convention of The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc., ” History Happens in Hernando,” was held May 10-12 at The Gin at Nesbit. During this convention, activities were held that include various workshops by noted floral designers and nurseries.  

The highlight of the convention was the installation of state officers for 2021-2023.  The DeSoto Civic Garden Club (DCGC) member who was selected for the honor of State Treasurer was Amye Kelly, whose position as a member of the Executive Board constitutes decisions made by this Board and forwarded on to the complete Board for a vote.  

On the Board for 2021-2023 are Jane Borgognoni, Hospitality Chairman and Andrea Michael, Garden Therapy Chairman, both DCGC members.

The DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc., Hills and Delta District.
