Garden club district meeting held in Grenada

On Oct. 5, members of the DeSoto Civic Garden Club attended the Hills & Delta Fall District Meeting, hosted by Design Masters Study Club and held at the First United Methodist Church in Grenada.

Presiding over the meeting was Allison Ashmore, Director, Hills & Delta District and Pat Young, President, The Garden Clubs of Mississippi. Guests were welcomed by Stan Amos, City Manager for Grenada. 

Following the business meeting, awards were presented to the top clubs in the Hills & Delta District for 2021-2022.

First place was the DeSoto Civic Garden Club; second place to Charleston’s Magnolia Garden Club; and third place to the Winona Garden Club. These awards are based on club projects throughout the year.  Afterwards, a delicious luncheon was enjoyed. 

The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc. are excited for the new club year and all of our clubs across Mississippi will be “Making Things Happen!”
