Garden club celebrates the holidays
The DeSoto Civic Garden Club enjoyed Christmas festivities at the December meeting, hosted by Sandy Noble, President. Sandy’s home was decorated beautifully for Christmas and inspired the creativity of members.
After a brief business meeting, members were divided into six teams to design a Functional Design for a Table for Two using a card table and items brought from home. The guidelines included size, placement, colors and harmony. The assignment specified using either an Luminary design, incorporating lighting for a special effect or a Reflective design which requires shiny or reflective components or containers. Members did a fantastic job on all tables and ushered in Christmas cheer.
