Desoto County Dream Center to match donations, race entries May 29-June 5

The Desoto County Dream Center said Homer Skelton Auto Group will match every donation and every race registration during Matching Week, May 29-June 5, doubling the impact of contributions to the organization.

The center announced that registration for the annual DC Race 5K & Kids Fun Run will open during Matching Week. The event is scheduled for Sept. 12, 2026, at Silo Square MS, the organization said.

The Desoto County Dream Center said the race helps support its mission of serving neighbors and families across DeSoto County through food assistance, education programs, outreach and compassionate care.

Organizers encouraged participants to mark their calendars, form teams and register during the matching period to maximize their support, the center said.
