Child struck by vehicle on I-55 overpass

The Southaven Police Department is investigating a Monday morning incident where a child was struck by a car on Rasco Road at the I-55 overpass.  

Officers were called to respond about 8:30 a.m. Monday morning and when they arrived found a minor child had been struck by a vehicle in the roadway.  

The youngster was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.  

Police report no other information about the incident was immediately available as the department’s traffic division continues to investigate.
