The Olive Branch Police Department extended Mother’s Day greetings to mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms and mother figures, praising their love, strength and sacrifices, the department said.

Officer Hunter Grainer visited a local car wash fundraiser at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, supporting youth summer camp activities and engaging with the community.

Organizers said a quarterly luncheon sponsored by Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto will be held May 20 and will feature keynote speakers Dr. Violiza Inoa and Dr. Neha Kumar. Seats are limited and organizers urged interested attendees to register online.

Organizers said the annual children’s fishing rodeo was a success and they thanked event supporters. A related social media post was unavailable online; the platform said that can occur when a post’s visibility is restricted or it is deleted.

Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams said a recent fishing rodeo was “incredible” and thanked Parks and Recreation, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and volunteers, according to a city government post.

The Olive Branch Police Department addressed confusion over the pond’s status for the OB Fishing Rodeo, encouraging residents to register for the event.

Northwest Mississippi Community College said in a post that it is “beyond proud” of its graduates and called the day bittersweet.
