Southaven Springfest: Celebrating 45 years

The festival celebrates the beginnings of Southaven as a city on April 15, 1980.

Festival activities include a BBQ cooking contest, midway rides, and much more.

Musselwhite said it was time to erect a new sign to promote upcoming park events and as advertising.

This year, Springfest will be held from April 23-27 at Snowden Grove Park.

Construction began in April 2022, and the substation was officially put into service on Dec. 22, 2023.

Troy Tulowitski and Inky Johnson spoke during the Tuesday evening opening ceremonies.

Snowden Grove Park in Southaven again served as the host site for the Dizzy Dean baseball World Series.
