Adults in DeSoto County can roll up a sleeve without leaving their car next month. Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven will offer free flu shots at a community drive-thru event on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m., according to the Southaven Chamber of Commerce community calendar.
The vaccines are free for community members 18 and older, and no appointment is needed. Drivers may begin lining up as early as 3:30 p.m.

An Annual Fall Tradition in Southaven

In past years, the hospital has held the event on an early October weekday afternoon, with vaccines offered while supplies last, so arriving early is a good idea.
