Mayor Ken Adams, Police Chief Carlos Garcia and the Olive Branch Police Department congratulated Officer Robert Pulley on 10 years with the department, the City of Olive Branch government said.

Northwest Mississippi Community College said Toyota of Hernando delivered four pallets of automotive parts to support its Automotive Technology program. The college said the donation will expand hands-on learning and workforce training opportunities for students.

Angela Kidd Insurance will host the Southaven Chamber’s monthly ‘Coffee with a Member’ networking event July 24, organizers said. The gathering will run from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Angela Kidd Insurance in Southaven.

Trey Bledsoe has been sworn in as the new fire chief for Southaven, succeeding retired Chief Danny Scallions. Bledsoe has served the department since 1999.

At its most recent meeting, the Southaven Mayor and Board of Aldermen sworn in Trey Bledsoe as fire chief and extended the city’s tourism tax, city officials said.
