WORTH NOTING….

  • In Northpoint Christian’s victory over Lausanne Collegiate, Lady Trojans’ Brylee Faith Cherry scored nine kills, one block, and served three aces. Sophie Bauer slammed six kills, had five aces and made 21 assists. The Lady Trojans play in a tournament at Chattanooga, Tenn. this weekend. 
  • The Northpoint contest was tabbed as Elementary Night as fifth-through-eighth grade volleyball players were introduced during the evening.  
Elementary volleyball players joined the Northpoint Christian School varsity team duning Elementary Night Tuesday, as the Lady Trojans defeated Lausanne Collegiate.

  • In the Lake Cormorant loss to Oxford, Lady Gators’ Paige Griffin made eight kills, had 15 digs and served two aces. Adajah Morgan and Jasmine Chacon each had seven assists in the loss.  
  • Hayden Honeymaker scored both goals in Northpoint Christian’s 6-2 girls’ soccer loss to Harding Academy Tuesday afternoon.  
  • The Oxford Swimming Invitational meet will continue Thursday evening at the University of Mississippi with a start time to be determined.  Ten of 22 events had been completed at Oxford’s outdoor pool when the meet was postponed. Lewisburg, DeSoto Central, Hernando, and Horn Lake swimmers competed in the event.
