Hernando unveils “Music Around the Square” downtown project

A new project called “Music Around the Square” has been unveiled for the community, bringing music to Hernando’s historic downtown Square as people shop, dine and spend time in the area, according to the Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce.

The music will match the season and the atmosphere, with examples including spooky tunes around Halloween and Christmas classics during the holidays. The announcement also said the project will include music for other times of the year.

The Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce said it worked with Wisdom Integrators and the City of Hernando to bring the project to life.

The project was made possible through ARPA funds provided by the Mississippi Main Street Association through the Mississippi Legislature, the chamber said.
