Players named to all-star football rosters

Oct. 2, 2024 – The Mississippi Association of Coaches Wednesday announced the rosters for the annual Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game in Mobile, Ala., and for the Bernard Blackwell Classic All-Star Game in Gulfport.

There won’t be much representation from DeSoto County for these games, however, with just two players from Olive Branch and one from Lake Cormorant selected.

The two from Olive Branch will be playing on the North roster for the Bernard Blackwell All-Star game. They are Logan Schultz, a holder and punter for the Conquistadors, and placekicker and teammate Austin Taylor.

From DeSoto County for the Mississippi-Alabama contest will be defensive back Jarcoby Hopson.

Southaven head coach Randal Montgomery will a wide receivers coach for the Mississippi All-Stars in Mobile, Ala.

The 2024 Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Football Game will be played in Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, Dec 14 at 12 noon at Hancock Whitney Stadium on the campus of the University of South Alabama.

The 2024 Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Football Game is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21 at Milner Stadium at Gulfport High School in Gulfport.
