Trucker hurt in I-22 accident Sunday night

A Florida truck driver was hurt in a one-vehicle crash Sunday evening in DeSoto County. 

The Mississippi Highway Patrol reports the semi-trailer truck left the roadway at Mile Marker 13 of I-22 southeast of Olive Branch about 8:15 p.m. The crash location is near the Vinson Road overpass.

According to MHP, the driver, Timothy J. Wells, age 38 of Hastings, Florida, received moderate injuries from the crash. Wells was transported to Methodist Olive Branch Hospital for treatment.  

MHP reports the crash remains under investigation.
