Storm Prediction Center issues slight risk of severe storms for parts of Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee
The Storm Prediction Center on Monday issued a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms on Tuesday for northeast Arkansas, the Missouri bootheel and far West Tennessee, the agency said.
The SPC said a Marginal Risk exists for areas to the east. Should a storm reach severe limits, large hail and damaging winds would be the primary threats, the agency said.
The forecast is categorized as a 2-of-5 Slight Risk by the SPC and carries medium-low confidence, the center said. The primary period of concern is Tuesday afternoon and evening.
An advisory carrying the information included the names Ken Adams, Olive Branch mayor, and the Olive Branch Police and Fire departments.
