Olive Branch offers text emergency alerts amid slight severe-storm risk

Olive Branch residents can sign up for emergency alerts by texting olivebranch to 888777, Mayor Ken Adams and the Olive Branch Police and Fire departments said.

The officials said the alert included a warning of a slight risk (level 2 of 5) for severe storms late Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night.

They said the primary threat is damaging winds.

Officials said the text signup will deliver alerts specific to Olive Branch. They encouraged residents to enroll to receive official messages about local hazards.
