Daytona 500 champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will be driving into his home town later this month to be honored and celebrated for his latest NASCAR victory.
Stenhouse, who won the Daytona 500 for the first time in February, will make an appearance at Olive Branch City Hall on Monday, March 20, starting at 1:20 p.m. At that time, Mayor Ken Adams will give Stenhouse the ‘key to the city.’
Due to the time restraints, Stenhouse won’t be able to interact with the public at that time, but from 2:30-3 p.m. he will be at the Olive Branch Kroger supermarket on Goodman Road, where he will spend the half-hour with Kroger staff and visitors.
Stenhouse is continuing his race schedule on the heels of his Daytona 500 victory. This weekend, he will be in the Phoenix, Arizona area for the United Rentals Work United 500 at Phoenix Raceway in his Number 47 Thomas Camaro.
As we reported, Stenhouse won the Daytona 500 in a race NASCAR said was the longest race in its history. The win was Stenhouse’s third in the Cup series and his first since winning the same race in 2017.
