Olive Branch urges residents to use multiple ways to receive severe weather alerts

The City of Olive Branch is urging residents to have multiple ways to receive severe weather warnings and updates, the city said.

The city said residents can receive mobile alerts by texting “olivebranch” to 888777.

In an expired post dated April 28, 2026, the city said a tornado warning had been extended across the county until 10 p.m. and advised anyone in the path to take cover.

The city marked the post as expired and reiterated the recommendation to use multiple alert methods for future severe weather notifications.
