Olive Branch reminds visitors to leash pets in city parks
The City of Olive Branch said an ordinance requires pets to be kept on a leash while in city parks and that animals must be kept out of ponds.
The city said the leash rule helps keep people safe, protects wildlife and ensures all residents can enjoy the park system.
City officials said the only area within the city parks where pets may be off leash is Olive Bark Dog Park, which is inside the city park next to the Homer Skelton Foundation Pickleball complex near the Old Goodman Road entrance.
The city’s announcement included a playful note reading, “May the fourth be with you, OB!”
