Olive Branch Police Welcome Home Special Olympics Champion Joseph Tate
The Olive Branch Police Department said in a social media post that Joseph Tate returned home after winning three gold medals at the Special Olympics National Games in Minnesota.
The department said it spent the year raising funds and supporting Special Olympics athletes as they prepared for the national competition.
The post said Tate represented the state of Mississippi and praised his determination, heart and excellence in competition.
The post, signed by Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams, asked the community to join the department in congratulating Tate on his achievement.
