Olive Branch officers commended for de-escalating workplace incident

Two Olive Branch Police Department officers were commended for de-escalating a workplace violence complaint at NFI Industries on July 30, 2026, the department said.

Officer Pierre Stinson and Officer Jeremy Hooper responded to the complaint and, according to the department, worked to reduce tensions and communicate clearly with all parties involved. The department said their actions contributed to a safe and orderly resolution.

The department said the officers ensured personnel understood the steps taken and the outcome of the investigation, addressed concerns, answered questions and helped those involved feel calm and comfortable returning to work.

In a post on the City of Olive Branch government page, the department praised the officers for professionalism, sound judgment and effective communication and credited teamwork and interagency partnerships with helping protect the community, the post said.
