Olive Branch, Hernando rank among state’s best places to live

Two DeSoto County cities are among the top 10 best places to live in Mississippi, according to a new survey.

The listing comes from the website HomeSnacks.com, which combines recent data from the Census, FBI, OpenStreetMaps, and dozens of other sources into studies to help understand what it’s like to live in different communities across the country.

The website has been ranking cities, neighborhoods, counties, and states across America for over five years.

Among the top 10 Best Places to Live in Mississippi at Olive Branch and Hernando, according to HomeSnacks. Olive Branch is ranked sixth and Hernando is ranked eighth.  

Madison achieved the number one spot in the survey, followed by Brandon, Ridgeland, Long Beach and Ocean Springs in the top five.  

In between Olive Branch and Hernando is Byram ranked seventh. Clinton and Diamondhead rounded out the top 10.
