The DeSoto County Brief and DeSoto Shred will host a free community shred day Thursday, May 14, at 500 Stateline Road in Southaven, organizers said.
Officials said the event will be a drive-up, drop-off service to allow residents to safely dispose of sensitive documents. The DeSoto County Brief asked participants to ensure boxes do not exceed 50 pounds.
Organizers said the service is intended to help residents clear clutter and securely destroy personal records. DeSoto Shred will perform the shredding on site, the organizers added.
The DeSoto County Brief and DeSoto Shred provided the event details to the public and encouraged residents to use the drive-up drop-off to expedite service.
