A free community shred day will be held Thursday, May 14, at 500 Stateline Road in Southaven, Mississippi, organizers said.
The event is being organized by DeSoto Shred and The DeSoto County Brief to allow residents to safely dispose of sensitive documents, the organizers said.
Participants may drive up and drop off boxes, and organizers asked that boxes not exceed 50 pounds, The DeSoto County Brief said.
The event is free and open to the public, The DeSoto County Brief said.
