Egner, Bedell receive MSU awards

Two Mississippi State University students from DeSoto County are among a group of students honored by the school’s College of Forest Resources for academic, service and leadership accomplishments. 

Flannery Egner of Olive Branch, a natural resource and environmental conservation major, received the Senior Academic Achievement Award for having the highest grade-point average among her peers. She also received the George Switzer Outstanding Undergraduate Award.

Olivia Bedell of Southaven, a forestry major, also received the George Switzer Outstanding Undergraduate Award.
