Drive-by shooting in Southaven

Southaven Police have detained for questioning a person in connection with a Thursday afternoon drive-by shooting incident in the city.

Police responded to a call at Horn Lake Road and Rasco Hills about 2:45 p.m. Thursday and, on arrival, found several homes and vehicles riddled with bullet holes.

Witnesses told the officers the bullets emanated from three vehicles involved in an altercation.

One of the suspect vehicles was later located and stopped by police in the area of Stateline Road and U.S. Highway 51. The driver of that vehicle has been detained and late Thursday afternoon was being questioned in connection with the incident. There have been no arrests reported as a result of the investigation, as of yet, and the investigation continues.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
