Daffy Darby retires after 26 years with City of Horn Lake

Daffy Darby retired after 26 years with the City of Horn Lake, the city said.

For more than 20 of those years, the city said, Darby served as a dispatcher, helping coordinate police, fire and EMS responses and providing a reassuring presence during critical moments.

The city said Darby later moved to the reception office, where she continued to assist department staff and citizens. City officials said her experience, leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on the department and the community.

The City of Horn Lake invited residents to join in thanking Darby and wished her happiness, good health and many adventures in retirement, the city said.
