D.A.R.E. Camp opens with K-9 demo, boat ride and skating, sheriff’s office says
The Panola County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi said campers on the first day of D.A.R.E. Camp took part in a K-9 demonstration, a boat ride led by the county Emergency Operations Team and an afternoon of skating.
The office said the day began with a K-9 demonstration. It said the Emergency Operations Team then took campers out on a boat, and the day ended with an afternoon of skating.
The office thanked several individuals and businesses for their help, including Marlon Logan with Panola County Emergency Operations and Skatasia of Sardis for hosting the skating session. The office also thanked The Donut Shop for breakfast and Jack’s for providing lunch.
The Panola County Sheriff’s Office said it is grateful for the businesses, volunteers and community partners who support youth programs and that it looks forward to the remainder of the camp week.
