Olive Branch Celebrates Mayor’s Youth Council Graduation
The City of Olive Branch marked the graduation of its 2025-2026 Mayor’s Youth Council on April 27, with an event attended by the Board of Aldermen, city staff, community members, families, and friends.
Mayor Ken Adams delivered the keynote address during the ceremony, which celebrated the largest cohort in program history. This year’s class included 57 students from nine schools, including public, private, and homeschooled students.
Participants logged more than 1,000 hours of community service. They also maintained an average GPA of 4.01 and balanced extracurricular activities such as athletics.
Graduates who completed one year of participation received a medallion, while those who completed two years were awarded an honor cord. The ceremony honored members’ commitment to service, participation, and civic engagement, with several students recognized for extended dedication.
The city expressed gratitude to sponsors including the Mayor, the Board of Aldermen, the Career Development Training Institute, Mid-South City of Olive Branch Staff, Mid-South Screen Printing, Pinks YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South, and others. Applications for next year’s program will open in July, with more information available on the city’s website.
