A post from the Olive Branch Farmers Market said Mayor Ken Adams encouraged residents to attend weekend celebrations and that a chalk art contest is scheduled on the Wesson House Lawn today.

Organizers said the Hernando Summer Sidewalk Sale will run July 9-11 in Hernando, Mississippi, with local retailers offering deals. A roster of independent shops is listed as participating.

The Olive Branch Police Department thanked Dave Mathis, owner of OB Auto Sales and Warrior Collision, for donations and ongoing support, the department said. The city posted the message and included a signature from Mayor Ken Adams.

The City of Olive Branch said Highway 302 westbound at Alexander Road has reopened and traffic is flowing normally after a motor vehicle crash that had closed both westbound lanes.

SHRA will host a free webinar Wednesday, June 24, featuring Stacy Dodd of Woodland Recovery Center on creating and maintaining a drug-free workplace.

LK Creations said it sold more than 210 items in four hours after the Sunset on the Square event was canceled because of weather. The business thanked customers and the Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce for support.

The Olive Branch Police Department extended condolences to the Memphis Police Department and the family of Officer Daniel Adams after his death in an off-duty accident, the department said.

Sgt. Iyonna Ellis completed the Certified Investigator Program at NMLETC Tupelo after logging more than 200 hours of training, the department said.

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office said D.A.R.E. Camp’s Day 2 included hunter education on firearm safety and Day 3 ended with a trip to a trampoline park.
